Go: Bear Fruit and Be Blessed!!!

Websters 1828 Dictionary describes “Blessing” as making happy, wishing happiness to, praising or extolling; consecrating by prayer.   The world says “Be happy”!  Do this or do that, think positive vibes, do good and you will be blessed, meditate, do yoga, etc!!!!   BUT, The Word of God says……   “”Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning”. James 1:17 KJV  I believe this to mean that ALL GOOD is from God!! All Blessings/Happiness is from God Above!  Without God, we would have no good!!   It is the LORD that is working in and around us that provides the good, the BLESSINGS!!   ALL credit for good needs to be given to the Lord!!   God’s Word reinforces this in John 15:5 ………  “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me y...

Preparing my Heart

  Photo Credit by Brinley Wagner, 5 years old :) Exactly five weeks from today I will begin my journey to Madagascar to serve on Mercy Ships :) It has been 6 years since my last service on the ship. Since that time the Lord has filled my heart, eyes and ears with so much of His Truth.  During previous trips I was trying to figure out who I was? Who I wanted to be? Who was everyone else? Who are all these people with varying thoughts about God and on and on and on!! It was a very exhausting!!   Now, at 61 years of age, the Lord has answered all those questions through His Word and I can enter the ship embracing His awesome work! I’ve witnessed so many life transformations, including those of the patients, families and of the volunteers. I know for a fact that when you leave the ship, God will have imparted so many truths into each of our hearts. We only have to have a willing and humble hearts to “see”.    I smile and know that the Lord has opened these door...
