Websters 1828 Dictionary describes “Blessing” as making happy, wishing happiness to, praising or extolling; consecrating by prayer. The world says “Be happy”! Do this or do that, think positive vibes, do good and you will be blessed, meditate, do yoga, etc!!!! BUT, The Word of God says…… “”Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning”. James 1:17 KJV I believe this to mean that ALL GOOD is from God!! All Blessings/Happiness is from God Above! Without God, we would have no good!! It is the LORD that is working in and around us that provides the good, the BLESSINGS!! ALL credit for good needs to be given to the Lord!!
